On the ancient "way" of Chinese brush painting Anna says:

"I find it to be the most honest way to paint. I am fascinated and inspired by the technique:

to express the ‘idea’ of the subject with the minimum of strokes while containing within the composition the multitude of elements necessary to tell the story;

to give equal importance to painted area and empty/blank space while treating both with same respect;

to paint with a brush powered by one's whole body’s rhythm and movement reminiscent of dance.”
